How it works

Three steps. No manual.

If you can drag a file, you already know how to use yasync.

01

Choose files or a folder

Add a title, message, or password if you need one. When you press send, the bytes go straight to object storage.

02

Get a link

Add a password and a message if you like. You get one short link the moment the upload finishes.

03

They download — no signup

Recipients open the link in any browser and choose individual files or one ZIP. ZIP is available for sets up to 64 GiB; larger sets stay available file by file.

Desktop app + CLI

For transfers that outlive a browser tab.

The signed macOS preview keeps long uploads and downloads moving through sleep, network changes, and restarts. Its CLI shares that engine. Public binaries are pending; Windows and Linux are planned.

The desktop preview

Drop in a project folder, start the transfer, and get on with the rest of the day. yasync keeps its place when the machine or network does not.

  • Parallel multipart engine keeps multiple bounded parts in flight
  • Resumes after sleep, network changes, and restarts
  • Computes CRC32 locally; verifies downloads when a checksum is available
  • Whole folders in, one short link out — structure intact

The yasync CLI preview

The same engine, headless — for pipelines, render farms, servers, and cron jobs. One line in, one link out, --json when a machine is reading.

$ yasync send ./final-renders --password

  • Windows planned
  • Linux planned

How the transfer moves

Direct to storage. Close to the recipient.

The app coordinates the transfer, but it does not proxy the file. Uploads go to object storage over presigned URLs and downloads come back through the edge.

A global edge, not a server

Downloads enter through Cloudflare’s Worker network instead of the yasync app server. The private object store stays behind the signed download gate.

Direct-to-storage multipart uploads

Your browser uploads straight to storage in parallel chunks. No yasync app server proxies the bytes, so the transfer can use the connection available to it.

A checksum travels with the file

The sender computes CRC32 locally while uploading. That checksum stays with the transfer, and the tested desktop preview can verify downloaded bytes when one is available.

Unlimited downloads, included

No bandwidth meter, no per-download fees, on any tier. One recipient or ten thousand — the price of delivery is always €0.

Privacy

Your files are none of our business.

We process files to store and deliver them, and disclose the providers that help us do it. The same privacy commitments apply to Pro, Free, and anonymous sends.

No profiling your files.

We process file content to store and deliver it, not to target ads or build a profile. A specific abuse report may be reviewed by an authorised person.

No AI training, period.

Your files never train machine-learning models — not ours, not anyone else’s. There is no fine print that changes this.

Your data is never sold.

We publish the provider used for storage and identify proposed processors for disabled features. We do not sell your data, and ads are never based on file contents.

Encrypted, and lockable

TLS in transit, encrypted at rest, and an optional password on every transfer — on every tier, including anonymous sends.

The full, plain-language version lives in our privacy policy.

Pricing

Free until it’s huge.

Two free tiers planned to be ad-supported after a certified consent rollout, then Pro with 1 TB included. Ads are off in development; delivery is never metered.

The MASV math

They charge per download. We don’t charge at all.

MASV bills $0.25 per gigabyte every time someone downloads — a terabyte delivered ten times runs about $2,500. On yasync the same delivery costs €0 — downloads are never metered, on any tier.

See the honest comparison

MASV delivery

$0.25/GB

Billed on every download. Retries and extra recipients multiply the bill.

yasync delivery

€0/GB

Unlimited downloads at any scale. The Pro model charges for storage, not delivery; protected accounts can exercise checkout in Stripe test mode.

Good questions

The short answers.

The four things everyone asks first — the rest live on the FAQ page.

How big can I go?

Anonymous sends are live. Protected credentials signup unlocks 50 GB accounts, and signed-in testers can exercise Pro through Stripe test mode.

How long do links last?

Free links expire after 24 hours. Files leave active storage and are purged from recovery storage within seven days. Pro links have no set expiry.

Can I set a password?

Yes — on every tier, including anonymous sends. Recipients see nothing until they enter it.

Do you look at my files?

We process files to store and deliver them. We do not scan them for ads, train AI on them, or sell your data — on any tier.
