Send large video files to clients
Deliver the files you exported, with one link the client can open in a browser. Recipients do not need an account or the desktop app.
For editors, production companies and post-production teams handing off finished files.
Business use only
What you need
Free account: Up to 50 GB per transfer. Pro: Files up to 5 TB. The desktop app is free on every plan.
The workflow
1
Prepare a delivery folder
Put the approved master, audio stems, captions and delivery notes in a clearly named folder. Finish exporting before selecting it; keep the originals available until the upload completes.
2
Send from the browser or desktop app
Sign in, choose the files or folder, and add a title and optional password. For a delivery that may outlast your connection, use the desktop app so an interrupted transfer can resume.
3
Share the finished link
Wait until the transfer is ready, then send its link through your usual client conversation. If you set a password, share it separately. The recipient can select individual files or use the available download options.
Before your first delivery
Choose file delivery or media review
yasync transfers files; it does not transcode video, generate playable previews or provide frame-accurate review comments. Send a review export if the client needs a smaller file, or use your review platform alongside yasync for approvals.
Plan for a large download
Resumes big transfers after sleep, restarts and dropped connections. Checks supported downloads when they finish. Browser download-all availability depends on the transfer’s file count and size. For a very large delivery, choose individual downloads or open it in the desktop app.
Match link life to the handoff
Links last up to 14 days on Free and Plus. Links last up to 60 days on Pro. Choose an expiry that gives the client enough time, and keep your own copy of the delivery.
Common questions
Does yasync recompress my video?
No. It delivers the uploaded files rather than a transcoded preview. Your export settings determine the video the recipient receives.
Can a client download without signing up?
Yes. A recipient can open a published transfer link in a browser without an account. A password is required when the sender has protected the transfer.
